Restorative Yoga is a form of yoga done mostly lying down, in which you will completely relax into each pose. With the use of props, the postures were formulated as a way to deeply restore the body. Designed for everyone. Deeply relaxing. Poses are done lying down with many props for 100% relaxation. The goal of this class is to achieve total relaxation in each pose, no holding yourself up and no tension. We believe this to be the most important kind of yoga to be doing right now in this rapid speed world.
RESTORATIVE + MEDITATION
Designed for everyone. This class is a regular restorative practice where poses are effortless and are done lying down. The teacher will also weave the principles of mindfulness into this class. Let go of what is old and embrace what is freshly arising. Quiet down your busy mind and embrace presence. Leave this class feeling calm, clear, kind and present.
STRESS MELT FLOW
This class combines equal halves of Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Restorative Yoga. Stress Melt Flow will undo all the physical and mental stress of your day. In the first portion of the class, you will be guided through a gentle Vinyasa Flow. The flow will reconnect you to your body and allow for the fatigue and stress to start falling away on a cellular level. For the second half of class, your instructor will guide you through a series of Restorative Yoga positions. Props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks will support you as you are led into a closing practice of optimal relaxation. The combination of Flow and Restorative Yoga will allow for a catharsis of the old in your body and mind, and open up space for healing, new ideas, and inspiration. Leave this balanced class feeling refreshed and relaxed. Everyone is welcome to this all-level class. Please keep in mind you will flow for part of the class.
RESTORATIVE + REIKI
Deeply restore in an 889 Restorative Yoga Class with the addition of healing Reiki practitioners in the room. This class is open to everyone, especially to those wanting to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. This class soothes the soul and encourages the release of deep rooted mind-body tension. The body is supported throughout the practice in specific effortless postures lying down, through the use of bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps. Restorative Yoga calms the central nervous system and invites the body to experience a deeper state of relaxation. Reiki is a healing technique by which the therapist can channel energy by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the body and restore physical and emotional well-being. With the addition of Reiki to this Restorative Yoga class, the Reiki practitioner will move quietly around the room, while students practice Restorative Yoga and will heal and meditate on every individual over the duration of the class. Restorative + Reiki replenishes the body’s energy systems, leaving you feeling recharged, well-rested and deeply rejuvenated.
