Sis - this blog post is dedicated to you. My ultimate packing muse.

The day has arrived! I am off with my husband to the California mountains for YOGA, NATURE AND MUSIC MANIA…

We are road-tripping together in his VW bus from San Francisco and camping along the Truckee River for three days at Wanderlust. Our line-up is of over 14 yoga and meditation teachers over 3 days from all over the country. Ready for some serious pranification, mountain oxygen to cleanse the soul, groovy tunes and yoga love!

So what do you pack for a Yoga trip? My packing list for a Yoga Vacation:

Yoga Essentials

Yoga travel mats c/o lululemon (the “un-mat”). Tiny and light! Perfect for travel. We fit two in one bag! How perfect.
Yoga mat bag exclusive to 889 by Blackbird (handmade in Toronto by a former 889′er now entrepreneur!)
889 Stainless water bottle

Yoga Fashion

lululemon Crop Wunderunders (Major must. Staple). 2 pair.
Leggings stack (long, crop, color)
lululemon tank varieties in varying shades of purple (power Y for sweating! Cool Racer back for hiking, meditating, bra for layering)

lululemon grey wrap
Major fluorescent accents
Soft and loose HardTail tops in 50 shades of summer from 889 boutique
Boho beads and jewels from all my treasured FAVES: Jenny Bird stackables and studs (dear friend and unbelievable designer), Tiny Devotions a local fave, an embroidered friendship bracelet from my sis, Buddha quote chain from my husband (fave) and some Satya, Chan Luu, and Love Heals all from 889. I love meaningful jewelry. It tells a story.

Sun Protection/Face
(sometime during my 30s this became a stand alone category)

Straw hat
Oversized sunnies
Coola Face and 30 Spray Body (can NOT live without). Spray is so easy!
Tammy Fender Spearmint and Alfalfa Purifying cleansing gel, Essential C Tonic Camomile and Intensive Repair Balm Moisturizer. Complete Tammy Fender evangelist convert - every face product I use (except sunscreen). She created “Pure Living Energy” products. Absolutely brilliant products made by a wonderful human being. Left the eye cream at home in an effort to lighten
Prtty Peaushun in a homemade travel size. Little glisten for the gams
Weleda natural deodorant. No aluminum here!
Tom’s toothpaste (and shoes! Different TOMS.Thanks sis for my new Tom’s!)
Mini coconut oil soap sample

Travel Essentials

Kindle (almost done reading the same smut millions of women are swooning over)
The Heart of Yoga. Vacay reading! Getting ahead on my 889 Living Yoga Program reading list.
Yoga / Meditation Journal (mine, not the mag!). I record classes I’ve done and thoughts provoked in class, ideas generated in prep for September’s program launch
A little greenback
Noise canceling headphones (best gift, thanks hubbie)
Digital cam. Trying to take some photos with an actual camera #addictedtoinstagram
Feed Bag. Was so inspired when I met Lauren Bush Lauren I proudly carry her design. Real deal woman.
Bodum travel mug and my faaaaave organic Genmaicha Tea
iPad so I can blog along the way
Chargers! Too many. Not sure how at will work camping
lululemon tote for day bag

Camping essentials

(I forgot about these until my husband reminded me we were camping)
Headlamp! Purple, of course
Camelback bladder
Marshmallows
Touque and mittens
Fleecies
Jetboil and matches
Deet-free bug spray
He’s taking care of the rest

Oh, and a fly fishing rod. Did you notice how my husband’s rod case was artfully tucked in near the yoga mats?

Bag is exactly 1/2 clothes, 1/2 gear. And barely under weight!

All ready.

Whole Foods pit-stop in Mill Valley to stock up on healthy fuel upon arrival.

So glad some yogis created Wanderlust for thousands of us to enjoy.

More of my journey tomorrow…
