Sahasrara Chakra: Let the Divine Energy Flow
The crown chakra has many names, and some of the most commonly used are the Shuunya, Naralambapuri, and Sahasrara. The Sanskrit term for the crown chakra is “Sahasrara,” which means “a thousand petals.”
The connection between the physical body and the crown chakra is that it is the entry point of the human’s life force. In other words, it is responsible for collecting energy from the universe and abundantly flow it into the body’s energy system.
Moreover, it fuels the body, mind, and spirit simultaneously, which in turn causes healthy and better well-being. Since the crown chakra is located at the uppermost chakra system, the universe’s power travels first in the crown chakra down to the lower chakras.
Crown Chakra’s Role Explained
The crown chakra affects some of the body’s vital systems, such as the muscular and nervous systems, and the largest organ in the body, which is the skin. That said, if the crown chakra is imbalanced or blocked, it will obviously show some signs in your skin.
Some of these include acne, rashes, and even skin disease. When these abnormalities happen, it would mean that your Sahasrara chakra is not functioning well. But more on this later.
Emotionally, the crown chakra influences your devotion, inspiration, conceptual ideas, and supernatural relations. In the whole chakra system, the crown chakra is the only energy located outside the body. In fact, it sits on your head like a crown and is sometimes tagged as the portal to the cosmos.
Signs of Imbalances
When the crown chakra is imbalanced or corrupted by negative energies, you will certainly feel and suffer from different emotional cues.
All of these irregularities are negative, which will direct you from many problems instead of resolve.
Some of the common signs when your crown chakra is imbalanced and blocked include:
– Meditating won’t be as effective as it should be.
– Staying motivated and positive will be complicated.
– Your connection within yourself and others will become unhealthy.
– Spiritual disinterest may arise.
– Enjoying life will be difficult.
– You will lose your confidence in completing your day-to-day tasks.
– At one point, you will feel annoyed at things that you once loved and admired.
– Your inner self’s sense of wisdom and purpose will slowly disconnect.
– You would love to separate yourself from others and the rest of the world.
– Depression symptoms will increase.
– Apathy will develop.
– Skepticism or skepticism will occur.
– There will be too much sarcasm in your day-to-day speech, even with your loved ones.
– Discrimination or racism will show up all of a sudden.
– You will become stubborn most of the time.
As you observe, it seems like the crown chakra can affect your well-being on every side. One thing to remember is that the chakra system is best to balance from the bottom to the top.
Just like building a house, the foundation is the most important. The Sahasrara chakra is best opened and balanced once the other chakras are already taken care of.
Balancing Your Crown Chakra Back
You can start reopening or bring the balance back to your crown chakra by getting in touch with the color white. You can imagine a white light entering from the crown of the head pouring down to the root and then back up again.
Chanting om or mantras is also effective. You can do this in silent or out loud, whichever you prefer. With this, you can create a vibration that can help open the crown chakra energy enabling it to travel around the body freely.
Yoga poses are the most powerful ways on the list to awaken and balance the channel system, especially the seventh chakra or the crown chakra. The yoga practice allows you to promote awareness of the body, boosting your physical, mental, and emotional aspects. That said, below are the three yogic poses that can balance the crown chakra back.
1. Warrior I Pose (Virabhadrasana)
Put your one foot forward and the other one at the back at a 45-degree angle. Make sure your feet are hip apart, like train tracks. Straight your hips by bringing your back hip forward while your front hip back.
Remember to keep your back heel flat on the ground at a 45-degree angle, gently pin that back foot onto the floor and make your leg tight to strengthen your foundation. Do five breathwork of your choice and repeat on the other side.
2. High Lunge Pose (Utthita Ashwa Sanchalanasana)
This pose is your best choice to make sure the energy system freely runs from the crown down the root. Breathe in and extend your front leg and draw your palms to your heart. As you breathe out, slightly twist your front knee and put your hands on the floor. Repeat this pose five times and do it on the other side.
3. Lateral Side Bend Pose
The Sahasrara chakra should be freed from blockages so the energy from above can travel down to the spine. So standing yoga pose such as this is perfect for that goal. Stand straight as your toes are touching and heels apart. Breathe in as you move your arms above you, and breathe out as you drop your left arm.
At this point, grab your right arm using your left and concentrate on kicking your right hip out while keeping your ribs folded. Breathe in as you raise both your arms above, and breathe out to switch sides. Repeat this pose five times.
