In big bold letters on my mental holiday wish list, I wrote: NEW YOGA MAT. Granted no one but me could see this list, it was still something I really hoped to get.

The “January Joiner” phenomenon is new to me. It is this annual surge of New Year’s Resolutionaries, the people who sign up at the start of the year for gym memberships only to revert back to their pre-resolution states soon after.
